Lancor Names New York Office Leader

Lancor New York Office Leader Scott Estill

November 14, 2017 – Executive search firm Lancor has added veteran recruiter Scott M. Estill to manage its New York City office and lead its global advisory practice.

Mr. Estill, who retains the title of partner, will play a key role in the firm’s well-established private equity-focused recruiting practice while building Lancor’s new advisory business.

He will also co-lead the North American business which assists private equity funds with originating transactions, appraising potential transactions and sourcing industry experts for pre-acquisition due diligence and finding backable senior management teams. He joins Lancor with over 20 years of deal generation, M&A, financial services and executive recruiting experience.

The firm’s advisory business helps Lancor’s private equity clients discover and evaluate forthcoming deals through access to leading executives in various industries, as well as recruit the best management teams for their portfolio companies.

Veteran Recruiter

Mr. Estill has worked for years within the banking and private equity world as a banker and search professional, serving C-suite and board-level multinational clients within the private equity and family office sectors.

Previously, he co-led the New York/North American office at Skillcapital and co-led the firm’s executive search business while building its deal origination practice. Before that, Mr. Estill was a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office, where he was helped build a similar executive-led merchant bank and was a member of the global financial services practice.

He was also co-founder of Coady Diemar Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on M&A and raising capital. Earlier experience includes stints with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette; Credit Suisse First Boston; and Hambrecht & Quist.

Mr. Estill is on the New York board of the Association of Corporate Growth, a global organization focused on M&A deal makers (such as bankers, private equity professionals, lawyers and accountants) and business leaders.
