In November, students from seven different graduate programs at Columbia, MIT, Harvard, and NYU gathered at Columbia Business School to participate in this annual day-long event exploring all aspects of negotiating a joint venture. The event is co-sponsored by the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate, the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP), and the MIT Center for Real Estate, and offers participants the unique opportunity to engage with and learn from experienced professionals from the legal, finance, and operational sides of the real estate industry. Lessons to Share: Real Estate Students “Trek” to Los Angeles |

A group of twenty-one first and second year real estate students traveled to Los Angeles in November to meet with real estate professionals focused on development, investment, and advisory services. Students visited seven companies, including CBRE, Arc Capital, Hines, CIM, Mack Real Estate Group, Clairon Partners, and Greystar over the course of the two-day trip.
