Michael Bar has over 20 years of diverse experience in real estate. In 1993, while studying at The University of California at Berkeley, Michael began his real estate career working in property management for Castle Rock Realty.  He obtained a Bachelors of Economics from The University of California at Berkeley in 1996. Upon graduating, he joined the acquisitions department at TGM Associates in New York. After getting a start in multifamily acquisitions at TGM Associates L.P., Michael joined Rockrose’s acquisition and development department in 1998. In 2001, Michael returned to school and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2002. Upon graduating from Columbia, Michael rejoined Rockrose Development Corp. (now TF Cornerstone) in the acquisitions department. After 8 years of acquisitions experience, Michael began working on financing various acquisitions where he had been part of the acquisitions team. These acquisitions include Queens West, 2 Gold Street, and 505 West 37th Street. Since working in the finance group Michael has closed a variety of construction and permanent loans as well as numerous lines of credit. Michael has lived on the Upper West Side for over 17 years with his partner Dr. Gabriel Katz. In the coming year, he expects to close two large 80/20 tax-exempt bond financings – one in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan. In his free time he enjoys cycling and yoga.
