The Rockefeller Group announced that real estate industry professional Mikki Columbus has joined the company as senior manager of development and financial analysis.Based in The Rockefeller Group’s Morristown office, Columbus leads the development and formulation of financial strategies for the company’s New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations, including asset performance, lease projections and project evaluations, according to a news release. Columbus is specifically focused on a number of major industrial projects in the region, including Rockefeller’s 1.3-million-square-foot development in Cranbury — Cranbury Station Park — which is currently the largest industrial spec project in the state.

“Having Mikki on board has already been enormously beneficial to our New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations — specifically in terms of industrial development strategy — as we continue to rapidly expand our footprint in the region,” Clark Machemer, senior vice president and regional development officer for The Rockefeller Group’s New Jersey/Pennsylvania office, said in a prepared statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome Mikki to the team and look forward to continually utilizing her breadth of real estate and financial expertise.”

Prior to joining The Rockefeller Group, Columbus worked for the Greater Jamaica Development Corp. in Queens, New York, as the company’s director of real estate and economic development. In addition, she previously held the position of assistant vice president in HSBC’s global asset management division.

“The collaborative culture that The Rockefeller Group offers, combined with an extensive roster of high-profile projects in the region, are what attracted me to the company and have made being a part of the team here so exciting thus far,” Columbus said. “The Rockefeller Group and its projects, which essentially span every sector of real estate, allow me to work alongside some of the most innovative, creative and attentive professionals in the industry.”

Columbus received her bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University with a major in classics and received her master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School, the news release said. She also holds a certificate in real estate from the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.
