A crowd of more than 200 Columbia Business School alumni spanning 51 graduation years gathered on May 4th for the 2017 Real Estate Alumni Reception. The annual event honors a Distinguished Real Estate Partner, and Paul Pariser ’78, Founder and Co-CEO of Taconic Investment Partners was awarded for his long-standing support, generosity, and dedication to the MBA Real Estate Program and its students. This vibrant reception, which draws alumni from near and far, is presented annually by the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate and the Real Estate Circle, and is sponsored by Goodwin.

Lessons to Share: Students Take Study Tour to South Africa |
A group of 36 students from Columbia Business School attended a study tour to South Africa in March 2017. The trip was sponsored by the Chazen Institute for Global Business and the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate. Students toured Johannesburg and Cape Town, visiting established private and public real estate firms, banking institutions, local entrepreneurs, and non-profits investigating the state of the real estate market in South Africa. Real Estate Students Earn First Place at UNC Real Estate Development Challenge |
Columbia Business School’s case competition team topped 14 other business schools to finish in first place at the 2017 Real Estate Development Challenge hosted by UNC on February 17th. The team, Strokos Capital, consisting of Durrell Mack ’17, Will Noyes ’17, John Pollock ’17 and Emily Steinberg ’18, impressed the judges by presenting a plan to redevelop a 145-acre retired U.S. army base outside of downtown Atlanta.
